BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC-TV, 12/14/2006) -- A school science teacher at Highlands School has come up with a creative way to teach 4th graders how mountains form: graham crackers, peanut butter and jelly. Ashley Kizer says he's tried to teach children for years about oceanic and continental plates colliding, with much difficulty. He says once he added the crackers, peanut butter and jelly to the lesson, the job became much easier.
